The fall season is upon us and there is a lot to be thankful for!
Veteran Events
Recently, we enjoyed being a part of the Oakridge Neighborhood Services Night Out event where several members of our veteran equine therapy program provided horse rides to area youth. Also, our veteran equine team performed in the Veterans parade at the Iowa State Fair!
Quad Cities
Vulnerable youth from the Quad Cities region had a blast plunging down a giant slip and slide provided by Uncommon Ground of the Quad Cities last Saturday! This was a great opportunity for us to reconnect with youth from our summer programming from the Quad Cities and enjoy a day of fun and adventure with them before they head back to school. Many, many thanks to Mike and Jen Cavins, owners of Uncommon Ground, for making this event possible and hosting a wonderful party!
Monthly Leadership Retreats
Please pray for the youth in our programming as we embark on the next season at The Ranch. Monthly leadership retreats commence this fall and will go until the spring. Students will focus on skills such as woodworking, welding, cooking/hospitality training, financial literacy, resume/writing workshops, team building, leadership development and more. If you are interested in volunteering to help at a leadership retreat please contact Ben Cohen at: bcohen@wildwoodhillsranch.org
