The autumn season is a beautiful one at The Ranch!
We are thankful for all the blessings that have been bestowed upon us during this season and we are looking forward to what God has in store next for us.
Here are some highlights of what’s up:
Leadership Retreats
We had a wonderful leadership retreat this month and are preparing for the next one. Over twenty vulnerable youth attended the first retreat of the fall season and learned valuable life skills through taking the innermetrix (a tool that is extremely useful in analyzing strengths and areas of growth that can be a huge asset to finding one’s purpose and path in life). Attendees also participated in financial literacy training focusing on check/balances, made homemade apple cider, worked on a woodworking project that will be auctioned off at The Wild About the Child Barn Dance on November 2 and so much more!
Fundraising
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Wild Boar Challenge. It was a beautiful September day and with over 600 registrants, the event was a true success. Thank you to everyone in the Contributor’s Breakfast Club, a local men’s charity group, that makes this event possible every year.
The NAIFA golf outing and the Evereve fundraisers were a success as well and thank you to each and every one of you who attended and supported both of these events.

This Thursday: Leading with Power Luncheon
If you are a guy, or you know a guy, that loves to make a difference in the world + be poured into by men of faith then you need to join us THIS THURSDAY at the Leading with Power luncheon at Holiday Inn downtown. The Ranch will be featured at this week’s luncheon as well. The main speaker of the event will be former major league baseball player, Casey Blake. Sign up today HERE. We hope to see you there!
Altar’d State
If you haven’t made it to Altar’d State in Jordan Creek mall yet today (and every Monday through the end of this month) is your chance. Altar’d State is donating a percentage of each Monday’s sales to our organization.
Wild About the Child Barn Dance
In just a couple short weeks the annual Wild About the Child Quad Cities Barn Dance will be happening at Veritas Stables in the Quad Cities. This is a VERY FUN evening that directly supports scholarships for vulnerable youth to attend life transformational programming at The Ranch. The evening includes: dancing, live music, live and silent auctions, a gourmet sit down dinner and more. Get your ticket today HERE.
Iowa Machine Shed Thanksgiving
Each year The Ranch hosts a fundraiser at the Iowa Machine Shed Restaurant in Urbandale, Iowa. Proceeds from this event directly support vulnerable youth in your community to attend The Ranch. We need 124 volunteers in order to make this event possible. If you want to spend part of your Thanksgiving Day giving back to the community and serving as a family this is a unique and fun opportunity to do just that. Sign up TODAY to volunteer HERE.
Conference Center Services
We recently finished a cabin at The Ranch that features two separate units with four bedrooms in total and it is absolutely gorgeous. The featured photo of this post is the interior of one of the units.
We have greatly enjoyed hosting and extending hospitality to several conference center groups this fall and we would love to host more events during the fall/winter season as well!
With numerous lodging accommodations ranging from private rooms to bunk houses to cabin units, a full-service dining hall and several customizable menu options, leadership development opportunities (high ropes course, low ropes course, horseback riding, chuck wagon dinners, a sports field, lake, kyacks and more) we are ready to host your next church, school or corporate event!
